Time for PT

Hello All, Rocky here. Thanks to everyone again for such warm wishes and thoughts. Dad drove me to Physical Therapy yesterday. It was my first time in the under-water tread mill. We go back on Thursday. The nice people at the Doctor's office said I did really well given it was my first time. We also have specific exercise related things to do every day from now on. Dad's making do weird things like stepping over things and walking off and on curbs.

Anywho, I just wanted to check in and say all is going well for me right now.

By the way, Mati's bedroom is finally finished. Dad re-named the "frappuccino" color paint that he made up to "frappaccini" instead. But then he realized that it's really Mati's room now, so it's now called "Mataccini". After he made up the color, he took a sample to that stupid Orange store and had them match it - to make up enough to do the room. If anyone wants the color mix code - just let us know!

Bye for now, Love Rocky.

PS. Dad came home smelling like new critters.... he said he saw these little one's at Scott and Dana's house. 3 Chocolate and 4 Dark Chocolate. I don't know what he means, but now I want something sweet...

Phew. Sounds like hard work Rocky.

But if it makes life easier for you it will be worth while.

Guess you better keep up with the exercise.

Mistress wants to know why it is good for you. Perhaps it might have helped Princey in the past. They stopped him going in the sea (he loved swimming) because they had been told that too much swimming in the sea contributes towards arthritis.

Can you shed any light on this? Mistress is stupid but she does realise that a pool is not the sea. So does that mean swimming good, sea bad? Or was she just given a bum steer?

Anyway, best of luck bro. I'll be thinking of you working out when I'm lying down somewhere.

Pippa Dog and Mistress; Mati here. First, HaRoouuu ;-) PippaBoy! Ok, back to the comments - Mistress is right! Too much exercise can lead to arthritis as my doctor said to my Dad. The exercise doesn't seem like hard work, but I can tell Rocky is getting more tired now. But I go with him, ---of course. Rocky told me that the under water tread mill is good because it's good exercise with resistance - but it is controlled with a controlled speed. Too much exercise will just make things worse as Mistress said. The exercise doesn't fix the hip problem, but it does help build up the muscle mass around the leg and hip area and will make it easier for him to walk and move his legs. The doctor said he's starting to use his back to help swing the legs which is bad. This will lead to more problems. The hip socket is mostly gone, but the muscles are holding the leg/hip in place. At this point poor Rocky has been using his rear legs as little as possible and therefore the muscle mass has deteriorated. So he needs to pump that iron ----err, water- I mean!

Thanks for asking, Love and kisses - Mati

Joe; Those pups are something else Dad says! They are cute and make funny sounds. One even tried to bark - Dad says everyone was laughing at their attempts to woof! Thanks again! Love Mati

Are those lab puppies?!!!! How adorable. Glad the underwater treadmill went well, Rocky. I kind of wish I had one. My mom has an on the floor treadmill, but it's not fun for me.

Hi Rocky,
Good to hear that PT is going ok for you. We hope that it makes you all better. You have very nice eyes by the way, Rocky.
Guess what mummy bought us today - a ducky just like yours with a unique quacking sound which we like a lot! It is endorsed by the American Kennel Club.
