In Loving Memory

Chica - April 1992 - March 6, 2009

If Love is all she needed, she would have lived forever.

People that are like us, people that have amazing quadruped kids are not amazed at the deep bond that exists between parent and child. Our kids are ever loving, kind and faithful. They provide us unlimited comfort and companionship. They look up to us and we only hope we are the people they think we are.

They are our family.

We are saddened by her passing and our sympathies go out to Robin and Ken

On behalf of Ann (Ann, George, and Joe) who emailed the following comments;

"...a beautiful tribute to Chica, but I was so sorry to read about her passing. I know that Chica Bonita was a good friend to you and to Rocky (and, later, to Mati), and that she will be missed terribly.

Cynthia Rylant, a children's author who has many beloved four-legged family members, wrote, "God turns clouds inside out to make fluffy beds for the dogs in Dog Heaven, and when they are tired from running and barking and eating ham-sandwich biscuits, the dogs find a cloud bed for sleeping. God watches over each one of them. And there are no bad dreams." I would like to think of Chica in a place like this, happy and romping and eating an unlimited supply of her favorite biscuits.

At this very sad time, my thoughts are with Robin, and everyone else who had the joy of knowing Chica...."

Thank you Ann, -Mike, Rocky and Mati

Never know what to say at times like this. Just that we all -sadly - know how very hard it is.

Star, The memorial to Chica is beautiful. I'm sure you miss your friend. When I lost my brothers and sister, I hurt bad. But now I have my new goofy brother Pio. I love taking his toys away from him. Its never the same but things get better I promise. Maybe you and I can try to be friends. I'm really sweet. Big licks. Your the best Star.
